Yoga of the Heart

Adapting Yoga for Heart Disease, Cancer and Other Life Threatening Diseases

Lisa received this training by Nicholas Joy Devi, the developer of the yoga portion of The Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease, and co-founded the award-winning Commonwealth Cancer Help Program.

Lisa works 1:1 or in small groups to apply the healing practice of asana, pranayama, deep relaxation, imagery and meditation as applied for people with cardiac problems, cancer, other life threatening diseases along with improving general health and prevention of illnesses and diseases.  This involves assistance in eating a low fat vegetarian diet as well as the processing of the psychological and social aspects of this new lifestyle change.
